Our Information on Planned Giving and the Jane Addams Peace Association:


JAPA holds funds available for WILPF members, branches and Sections.

The Johanna Muench Fox Scholarship Fund honors the memory of Mrs. Gerald Fox an avid peace advocate, gardener, conservationist. This fund seeks to support young women working in the environmental movement.

The Jones Fund has been set up to help fund WILPF Early Childhood Education Projects/Programs for Peace.

The Kay Camp Fund was set up to encourage young WILPF women to attend International Meetings. Kay Camp, a former International President generously left a bequest to JAPA to encourage young women's travel.

The Joan Patchen Fund was set up by Cape Cod WILPF to honor Joan. As an artist and peace maker, the guidelines state this fund is to help WILPF branches or Sections with projects which combine Peace and Art.

The Jane Addams Children's Book Awards are given annually to the children's JACBA Book Sealbooks published the preceding year that effectively promote the cause of peace, social justice, world community, and the equality of the sexes and all races as well as meeting conventional standards for excellence. Jane and nephew Stanley circa 1895The Jane Addams Peace Association was founded in 1948 "to foster a better understanding between the people of the world toward the end that wars may be avoided and a more lasting peace enjoyed."

Jane Addams was the first American woman to win the Nobel Peace Prize, which she received in 1931.

The Jane Addams Peace Association

The Jane Addams Peace Association was founded in 1948 "to foster a better understanding between the people of the world toward the end that wars may be avoided and a more lasting peace enjoyed."

We are the 501(c)3 educational affiliate of the Women's International League for Peace and Freedom, founded in 1915 with Jane Addams as its first president. Jane Addams was the first American woman to win the Nobel Peace Prize, which she received in 1931.
